A Raoul de Keyser painting, a tennis game, a girl in the dappled light of a summer afternoon. This is the backdrop of Exhibit A’s Summer 2021/22.

‘It’s an invitation to close your eyes and hear the birdsong, to laugh,

smell the flowers (and our deliciously scented gin) and to

luxuriate in the shade over an icy cool cocktail and a good book’.

Belgian artist De Keyser is an obsession of Sara’s

who dreams in the colour green.

‘I like the idea of taking a close crop of a painted line on a field or court and turning it into something that feels like abstract art, which is what De Keyser does. I imagined the minimalist forms of Exhibit A’s bottle, cocktail ring, martini pick and brass measure against this setting. And of course the girl to bring it to life, Becca (herself a talented creative) who is right at home playing, dreaming, sipping and reading a novel (Sorrow and Bliss, actually), cocktail rings catching the afternoon sunlight’.

It’s the time

……To take you in the sun
To promised lands
To show you every one
It’s the time of the season for loving……
